The Fire Fighters Charity
Every 30 seconds in the UK, fire fighters are called to an incident, putting their lives on the line, and often sustaining physical injuries whilst carrying out their duties.
The Fire Fighters Charity is here for fire fighters during their times of need, and assists over 11,000 individuals every year, by providing pioneering treatment and support services.
Our modern, dynamic and award-winning charity has three UK centres, located in Cumbria, Devon and West Sussex, which offer varying combinations of therapy and recuperations services.

Our pioneering new Beneficiary Support Service also offers local and remote assistance to people in need nationwide.
It costs over £9 million every year to keep the Charity running, and with no government funding, we are completely reliant upon donations from the fire general public and fire community.
The Fire Fighters Charity was born as bombs rained down across the country during the dark days of WWII, when brave members of the Auxiliary and National Fire Service fought daily to save lives, businesses and homes. Unfortunately, many paid the ultimate price, leaving behind widows and orphans with no means of support.
Since the charity's early days, it has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of the UK Fire and Rescue services. Today, The Fire Fighters Charity is a modern, dynamic, award-winning charity which provides assistance to serving and retired personnel, their widow/ers and young dependants through the provision of sheltered accommodation, recuperative facilities, rehabilitation and therapy, in addition to financial support for those who need it. The charity has three UK centres which provide these range of support services, in addition to an HQ facility in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
The charity now assists approximately 11,000 beneficiaries every single year, and has recently introduced new initiatives such as Child and Family Therapy programmes, which aim to enhance the quality of life for fire service personnel families who have a child with an illness or disability. The charity's services cost upwards of £9m per annum to maintain, and these services are financed almost exclusively by the fundraising efforts of the charity.
